Hello and welcome to my favorite room in my apartment! I am so inspired by this room and it’s where I do most of my blogging. It’s so important to find those spaces in your home that inspire you. Living in an apartment can be so challenging because you really can’t make big changes. The flooring, the wall color, the bathroom tile are all things that you just have to live with! This is the first place we’ve lived that I have really fallen in love with my space.
It has a lot to do with finding my groove of accepting that this isn’t my permanent residence, but it is my home for now. And I have also really put a lot of thought and design into this space. I hung art that really sparks joy and I have collected coffee table books that I love flipping through. A whole post is dedicated to my favorite books here. I added this media cabinet that also doubles as extra storage for us that I absolutely love.
Finding the right pillow combination is an art form! I have found myself always trying different styles and textures. This combination is currently my favorite and have held up beautifully, even with a rascally kitten!
You may remember these Cane Chairs from when I found them and reupholstered them! If you want to see how I did it check out this post. I still love them and they’re perfect for this tiny space. When Alton and I move I definitely want larger and more comfortable chairs!
I have an entire instagram story highlight and blog post dedicated to how I made these DIY acrylic frames. They are so beautiful and don’t weight this tiny space down. I love how they show off the handmade paper without distraction.
One thing I always have to have are fresh flowers. They just bring so much life to a space! I love plants, but having too many in one room can feel overwhelming. My two favorite houseplants are my Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree and my Birdsnest Fern. They are both classic and versatile plants for any space.
