Hi Y’all!
I gave in to the Tidying Up with Marie Kondo craze and have “edited” my living room. As I shared with you all on my instagram, my old TV sideboard wasn’t sparking joy for me. I also really dislike the tie-dye blue lumbar pillow that I’ve had on the couch for months. Every time I would see it I could think of 40 different pillows I wanted to see there, but I kept it because I didn’t want to spend the money. I invested a total of $24 in my “Spring” refresh and I could totally justify that. I say “Spring” because technically it’s February and still Winter for most of the states, but in Florida it’s 80 degrees.
I have been coveting this TV cabinet since August. I saved up some money from teaching my Lagree classes and sold my old TV cabinet so I didn’t spend any money out of pocket. I didn’t count that toward the refresh money spent. I purchased this lumbar pillow from Target to replace the old one. I kept the color scheme neutral with pops of baby blue and have accented the room with texture. I love the dark wood that the TV stand brings along with the texture of the fabric on the doors.
Eventually I have plans to put a desk near the window so that Alton and I have a place to work besides the kitchen island. The projects that I have planned for this year are numerous and I can’t wait to tackle them.
How are you refreshing your home for spring? What colors are you introducing to your rooms?
