A Truly Career-Making Project
The moment I stepped foot into this home, I knew it would be special. You can’t judge a book by its cover with this home. The exterior is truly underwhelming, but the interior is pure gold, even as it stands. The floor plan is actually pretty great and only needs minor tweaks. The entire design for this flip is centered around the original copper range hood that we fought tooth + nail to be included in the sale. The one element I want to incorporate throughout this entire home is millwork. It’s a relatively inexpensive way to add charm and character. With Knoll Street, I really played it safe and didn’t stray from the gray, white, and wood palate…. With Leila Ave I am taking calculated risks and going for it.
This home has a traditional feel to it. I decided to play off of the traditional elements that are original, like the beautiful cased french doors that separate the open kitchen + dining area to the living room. Leila Ave is the gift that keeps on giving with a second kitchen! No, we won’t be keeping both kitchens, BUT we will not let that plumbing go to waste! We’ll be incorporating the existing second kitchen into a wet wine bar area with a built in wine fridge and it’s going to be dreamy! I cannot contain my excitement for this project.

Millwork in the Master Suite? Yes, please! Not only will the entire Master Bedroom be floor-to-ceiling picture frame molding, the Master Bathroom will also have a touch of picture frame molding behind the vanity to really dress it up. As you can see, the Master Bath tile choices and fixtures are very simple on paper, but paired with the molding it will truly elevate the space; as a Master Suite should be.
Don’t hold me to it…. I’ve been saying this for a year now and can’t quite get it figured out…. I am planning to document this project heavily with video content! I want to give this project the spotlight that it deserves and I am trying my best to deliver what the people want to see!!
