It’s been awhile guys! As most of you know, Alton and I have been on the hunt for a flip house for over 4 months now. In the last few weeks of May we cracked down on our search and were under contract for a cool property in June, but ended up walking away. Since then we’ve put a few offers and gotten our hopes up just to be let down again. It really isn’t for the faint of heart. I’ve decided to keep things under wraps until we finally close because, well, you live and you learn.

I have been looking for a new living room rug for some time and I haven’t found anything that I can justify while on a VERY tight budget. Let me preface this by saying I do believe you get what you pay for and I’m willing to invest in nice furniture & rugs. However, we’re in a rental and we’ll be living in flip houses for a few years so until we settle down there isn’t a point to investment pieces.

I found this rug on major sale! I’ve looked at this one as well, but decided to go with the lower priced option because of our circumstances. I included two ways I’ll style it in our living room with the different chair options. We’ll either go with a slipcovered option or an exposed wood option.
